i just got my hands on a pair of my dad's suspenders, and a pair of genuine military cargos from Vinted, which coincidentally already had the buttons for suspenders sewed in!

i feel like i look kinda more farmer-esque than punk, but I do really vibe with it.

The shirt is a band called "Mele Marce", it's an italian Oi! punk band, one of my favorites!

Still need yellow laces for my boots, and I wanted to add some patches onto the pants so it's clear i'm SHARP and not a bonehead. (Not that anyone in italy really cares or knows what a bonehead is...)

I've been into Oi! punk and SHARP culture for a little over a year at this point, going to shows, collecting CDs, making patches of my favorite Oi! bands for me and my boyfriend. Oi! punk was my first approach to the underground scene, a motivation to develop my political mindset, and a reason for quite a few friendships. It's lead me to become more active in protests and political activity, and the class anger in these songs has been a great inspiration to keep fighting.

I kept looking at the people around me at concerts, and thinking that they were incredibly cool, and wanting to look like them, but being in highschool, already a target for bullying, I couldn't bring myself do do any more than shaved sides.

So, now that highschool is over, I decided I'd actually get into the skinhead look. I cut my hair, bought some military cargos and some suspenders, and I feel a lot more like myself :)

Here's to more years of concerts, friendship, beer and class war!
