I’m trying to identify a Cardinals game I attended as a kid in the mid-1980s.
Here’s what I remember:
It was a regular-season game.
The Cardinals were playing the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium.
Bob Forsch started for the Cardinals.
It was a day game.
At some point there was a bench-clearing incident or near-brawl between the Cardinals and Giants. I don’t remember if punches were thrown, but I distinctly remember both benches emptying.
I’ve ruled out the famous Jeffrey Leonard incident from the 1987 NLCS.
Does this ring a bell for anyone? If so, does anyone know the date or have a box score or newspaper clipping?

There was a song whose video played on CMT in 1999, and I remember these lyrics:

“I’ve got to know right now
Before we go another hour
That love won’t let me down this time.”

It was sung by a brunette woman in her ~twenties. Not anyone currently famous or who most people would recognize.

I thought the title was “Love Won’t Let Me Down” or “Love Won’t Let Me Down This Time”. It is not the Hillsong United nor a Springsteen song. But Google has nothing else.
