Edit: Gringos who dont know meixco please don’t reply, Im not taking gringo English replies to my Mexican Spanish post.
Why do people in the USA call certain Mexican traditional things by South American and other foreign names?
Like for exmaple “ponchos” Mexico doesn’t wear pochos, what people in the USA call “Mexican ponchos” are actually called serapes, jorongos, gabanes, in Mexico not ponchos. In the Wild West Era people in the u.s would call these serapes as-well because thats what they actually were. but then more modernly the U.S started to call them ponchos, which is the name for a similar but not connected concept of clothing in South America.
How did that happen?
Also ‘maracas’, maracas arent even Mexican lol, they’re South American or Caribbean, traditionally Mexico has sonajas which originates from indigenous cultures, similar ideas but not the same nor connected, what people historically called “maracas” were actually just traditional Mexican rattles.
Why?
Was South America just trendy at one point?
Why do homosexuals believe in her? Historically traditionally homos couldn’t adorn to her
So why now some modern homosexuals believe in this?
Going to more ancient original roots it goes back to ancestral nahau people. the same ancestral nahua people who historically punished and condemned homosexuals.
And they also believed that their deity’s would punish homosexuals as-well.
So if it’s the same ancient derived spirit? how are you as a homosexual believing and working with this spirit today?
Factos o no?
