AirPods Pro 3: Transparency mode stays on when using only one earbud
I recently got the AirPods Pro 3 and initially used them with my Android phone.
When I first paired them with Android, I could switch between only Noise Cancellation and Transparency Mode by squeezing the stem. Also, when I removed one AirPod from my ear, the other AirPod would basically work like a normal earbud — with neither ANC nor Transparency Mode active.
However, one day I connected the AirPods to an iPhone. After that, Adaptive Audio appeared as an additional mode, so I now have three modes: Adaptive, Noise Cancellation, and Transparency.
The problem is that since connecting them to the iPhone, whenever I remove one AirPod and use only the other one, Transparency Mode automatically stays on. I can't turn it completely off, so the remaining AirPod never behaves like a normal earbud anymore.
I have now reconnected them to my Android phone, but the problem remains.
Is there any way to disable Transparency Mode completely when using only one AirPod, so that the remaining AirPod works normally without ANC or Transparency?
I basically want the behavior I had before connecting the AirPods to the iPhone.
Any help would be appreciated.
