When I read that displaying the last screen during sleep mode became possible in the last update, I was excited since it was a feature that I had been waiting for. However, I soon found myself reverting to my old picture, since I missed seeing it. That made me think that it would be cool to have a compromise, by allowing the user to select between different modes depending on how the tablet goes to sleep.
Essentially I would allow the user to differentiate between if the Supernote was put to sleep by pressing the lock button, or if it automatically went to sleep after a certain amount of time or because it was covered by the sleeve. That way it could easily be locked in situations where the user wants to avoid interaction but still look at the screen, and when it's simply idle it becomes more "decorative" and shows the user's selected picture.
I'm not sure how much work it would be to implement and if it would be worth it, but for me personally it would be a nice little improvement. :)
