Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra One UI Boot Loop

As of Thursday May 14, 2026, my S22 Ultra has been stuck in a reboot loop after attempting an update. The phone is essentially "bricked" since I was not able reach safe mode to clear cache. I understand there are many tips and tricks to possibly get around this, but since I have not been able to break the loop cycle for over five days, going to Samsung may be my best option. I luckily have insurance (Asurion?), so my only concern is personal data.

I was already in the process of cleaning up storage and memory, but the Devil had better timing and here I am with a flash drive I didn't get the chance to use. My phone is for necessities, so no games and gibbity-gaps. I did attempt to file a claim with AT&T, but I recall the message at the end asking me to come into the store where there are no techs onboard.

I tried to avoid this black hole because I know how petty the S22 line is. I turned off auto-updates months ago, so that I would have more control over the functionality. I was definitely wary of the security patch from February this year, and left that aside until my phone got unbearably slow. Now, I am convinced that was the kryptonite. Shame on you Samsung.

I am currently filing a second claim, and on my way to a Fix-It shop. Any advice, Redditors? Thanks in advance!
