My Cooper

Cooper was a rescue who came up from Texas to live with us in Massachusetts a year and a half ago and has been a complete blessing to our family. We never had a dog before and took a chance on getting a dog without meeting him first, but he’s perfect for us.

Blood thinners

I’ve been a massage therapist for 13 years and I’ve always followed the rule that you don’t do massage on clients on blood thinners unless it’s light or medium pressure and with medical clearance.

I have a client who is telling me his cardiologist and primary care physician have all said that deep tissue massage would be great for him. 😳

I have a letter from his PCP saying he has cleared for massage therapy. I still only did medium pressure. He’s pushing back saying he wants deeper pressure next time and I have explained all of this very thoroughly and shown articles from the AMTA etc..

Do we believe that a cardiologist and a primary care would say deep tissue on blood thinners is fine ?
