Unsalted peanuts and spring onions to make it pretty lol

I've had this aluminum since February, and the lady told me to water it when it "looked sad." I fear that it's only causing me to underwater it.

This plant sits on our fridge between two windows that provide bright indirect light, which is what was suggested I keep it in.

Unsure of soil type, sorry!
