I have severe dentist phobia and can’t get treatments without laughing gas. I googled and pushed myself through trying 90% of the dentists in Porto that uses laughing gas, even if it was really hard. And I still don’t have one I can trust.

Which dentist works with laughing gas and is not on my list yet?

IFA clinic - great staff, but dangerously overdosing, brought me real drug trips

Dentist office next to Lusiadas at Casa da Musica - turned off the gas after 30 seconds to proof that I don’t need it and left me retraumatized

Oral class - turns out that they use laughing gas only before the treatment, not during (does not make sense at all)

Smile clinic - have not tried myself, but heard bad stories of people waiting for hours and it really seems to depend on the random dentist you get

Projetamos Sorrisos - not tried yet.

Anyone with a good experience with a dentist with laughing gas in Porto?

Two of my friends, who are both at millenium
Bank, lost money when their card has been used by someone in Jakarta. Both have never been there and Millenium refuses help them.
Is it coincidence that both cases happen in Jakarta? Are there more Millenium clients with similar cases?

How do you handle all those spam calls that you get on Portuguese phone numbers?

I have an iPhone, and I know that it has the feature to ask the caller what the purpose of the call is.
But unfortunately it only works if my phone is set to Brazilian Portuguese and my location is set to Brazil and this causes other problems. And also it was not very reliable when I tried it out…

I just worry that I miss important calls, that a friend ends up in hospital and they call me - but I stopped answering phone calls from unknown Portuguese numbers

Dear Overlanders,

My best friend (German) plans to drive from Germany to Australia. He bought a Suzuki Jimney, loaded an air bed and some equipment and plans to start in a few weeks.
As far as I understood, he just plans to go east and then find a way around Iran and Ukraine because of the wars, and drive-through China and somehow make it to Southeast Asia and in the last step ship his car to Australia.

When I talk to him, it all sounds easy, he plans on getting the Visa and needed insurances on the borders.

That all sounds crazy and dangerous to me.

Am I overthinking or is he naïve?

I have super fine hair that is just hanging flat. I usually don’t use any styling products because my hair also breaks super easily and that would mean to wash it off before bed - and make sure that the hair is 100% dry because it otherwise also breaks 🙄

Do you have recommendations for products that are available in Europe to get some volume in? Whatever I tried in the last usually lasted for an hour and then it was flat again.
