Peptide sourcing research at ground 0 in China
PS, This post has been taken down on /Peptides and a couple of other peptide related subs. It's most likely because no one wants to hear the truth about this. Hopefully this sub cares about the truth and safety standards.
I'm currently in China and have met and visited 10 different peptide sourcing facilities(where they actually dry freeze the powder and lyophilize it, vial filling, caping and packaging) in the last week and I can tell you right now things are nuts over here.
First of all, there are tens of them from small teams running FB/Insta ads(tech background) to large scale pharmaceutical grade operations and everything in between.
All of them are running FB and Insta ads and you just never know who's behind all those ads, and as we discovered it can be anybody. Pure Russian roulette when it comes to this.
Not sure if most people are aware, but the process of lyophilizing peptides and filling them into vials is totally illegal in China. The only legal thing allowed is to sell the peptide API powder as a manufacturer as a pharmaceutical compound for use only specific peptides for the cosmetic industry or nutritional industry in formulated solutions.
Most of these vendors are sourcing the peptide powder locally and are running these facilities illegally in China taking big risks. A lot of them are very secretive, run fronts as cosmetics companies or actually are established players that are riding the peptide Gold Rush.
Standards and quality of their operations is all over the place. Most of them are not eGMP/GMP or ISO certified or follow proper standards or procedures for pharmaceutical/aseptic/sterilization. A lot of them have very basic cleanroom setups and are not following proper protocol of separation, air control, etc.
Some of them are a lot more serious than other given they already operate in the pharmaceutical industry and are taking advantage as well as great risks supplying peptides.
Testing varies as much as the background of the vendors. Some of them test regularly but only in-house or 3rd party labs in China. Almost none of them test with well known labs like Jano/MZ Bio or others. That's why its super important to test every batch if possible.
They have issues as well with shipping and payment processing like everyone else and mostly only accept crypto payments because of it.
The reason I'm sharing all of this is to shed some light of what the situation and reality is actually at ground 0 where most of these peptides come from. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll respond if I have the information.
Edit: It is disheartening to see people reacting in a negative way and calling me names/liar to my my post considering I'm sharing this information to shed some light about something I considering incredibly important, safety standards and business practices, especially when it comes to peptides.
