Rescued corn snake never leaves hide anymore

We got Gooey about two months ago. She’s a big girl, well over 150cm and a bit overweight. We were told she’s between 6-8 years old.

For the first few weeks, we had her in her old viv and we saw on our infrared camera that she often explored her enclosure at night once she’d settled in.

About 3-4 weeks ago, we moved her into a bigger enclosure and at first she seemed happy to explore her new space. She’s since shed successfully and has eaten just fine, but she just never comes out of her hide anymore, even at night.

During the day, she’ll sit at the entrance of her hide and peek out, but she’ll rarely come out at all.

The new enclosure is in a busier room, and I’m unsure if it gets completely dark at night as we don’t have proper curtains. Could this be the issue?

Gooey is my first snake, so I’m a bit anxious we’re doing something wrong. Any advice or guidance on this?
