First time growing Tahitian melon squash and I thought they were supposed to be pretty good to grow in FL (zone 10b) but I noticed some holes...I haven't experienced squash vine borers or pickle worms yet and curious how to combat them and what I can do to prevent them next time or save the plant? If it's worth fighting with? Etc...TIA

First time growing trombocino squash and they're getting out of control! I'm not sure when to harvest and how to prepare/eat/store? Is it similar to butternut?
Any advice would be awesome!! TIA!
