Praying mantis in France, several questions

It's been in our home for like 2 days, i have several questions.
- does anybody know what variety it is and if it's male of female?
- should i throw it out? Asking to be sure because i'm like "but what if it gets snatched by a birddddd" but i'm pretty sure it shouldn't be here anyways
