Today we are watching the 2015 mockumentary, Savageland.
We had heard about this movie from some lists and whatnot, and thought it sounded pretty cool. I don't really know what to expect aside from the basic synopsis. I dig these kinds of movies, so I'm looking forward to checking it out tonight.

I saw this when I was a kid, and remember being scared, but don't really much other than that. And now, being a big fan of Guillermo del Toro, this has been one I have been wanting to give a proper watch.

Today we are watching Crawlspace from 1986.
There is something about this movie I cannot shake. It's not a particularly great movie, but I randomly saw it years ago, and it has stuck with me ever since. It was my introduction to Klaus Kinski, and I'm sure that's a big reason it stuck with me, because even when he is just being himself, he is creepy as fuck.

Today we are watching The Wicker Man from 1973.
I've never seen this movie, but like everyone else, I know the ending. So I'm interested to finally watch this one and see how knowing how it all turns out, affects my watch.

Today we are watching George A. Romero's, Land of the Dead.
If you've been with us a while, you'll know that I was a massive snob as a teenager and have (hopefully) softened in my old age. After being such a huge fan of the original trilogy, I hated this movie when it came out. I though it was stupid and a disservice to Romero's legacy.
But, I'm a changed man, I tell you! I haven't watched this in 20 years, but I'm going to watch it today, and I'm actually pretty excited for some good, old, zombie fun. I'm going back in with an open mind and heart, and shall report back to all you fine people.
I'm more interested in what you guys think, though. Give it a watch and tell us what it does for you.

I haven't seen this one since high school, and I have been wanting to watch it these last several years, so now is finally the time.

I've never seen this movie, but have heard it mentioned over the years. I know nothing about it except what the title might suggest, which has me interested. We shall see.

It is that glorious time of year once again where we dive into the deep end and watch a horror movie every day for the month. There are some beloved classics, some I need to see again, and many I have never seen before. Can't wait to soak up all this sweet, sweet horror cinema.
I'll post a discussion post everyday, and we will still do our weekly votes Wednesdays to determine what we should watch that Friday.

This week we are watching Gangs of New York.
It's been a hot minute since I watched this movie, so I am looking forward to giving another go around. For Daniel Day-Lewis, if for nothing else.

Here on reddit, The Warriors seemed to be winning with the majority of the votes, but Boyz n the Hood over on YouTube got like 80 votes, so that is what we are watching this weekend.
Personally, I'm stoked. I've never seen this movie but it has been on my watchlist forever. It seems like a nice change of pace that I am very much looking forward to checking out and discussing with all you fine folks.
