GP suggested seeing a dentist for my snoring
Hey guys
I've been told by family that I snore pretty badly and I sometimes wake up with a really dry mouth 😩 I can sleep for at least 7 hours and still wake up feeling like I haven't had a proper night's sleep
i mentioned it to my GP and they suggested I see a dentist as part of looking into it. I honestly didn't even realise dentists could assess things like your jaw, bite and airway in relation to snoring/sleep until i did some googling (bear with me, Ive been in the cave for a century lol)
Has anyone here been referred to a dentist for something similar? What did they actually check and did you find it useful?
I'm also wondering whether I should also be asking my GP about a sleep study rather than looking at the dental side alone. trying to work out what the normal next step is with this
Cheers
