Building our first home. We needed a down payment of 40,000. We already had 20,000 in our savings and decided to use my RRSP for the rest. Thing is My funds are taking forever to come out of Manulife (RRSP). We are meant to waive conditions this week so my parents gifted us 20k since my funds are taking too long to come in. We don’t have to pay them back, they just didn’t want us to miss out on our dream lot. Should we just change the lender paperwork before we take possession in 7 months ? We have already signed mortgage approval and handed over the down payment to the builder !
