Picked up Black Diamond Incense and Cullinan Diamond Iris recently and have been wearing both quite a bit. Since there aren't many reviews of these floating around, thought I'd share my experience.
This was the one I was most excited about, and it definitely didn't disappoint.
The best way I can describe it is a really smooth blend of incense, leather, and vanilla. The incense is noticeable right from the start, but it's not the kind that smells like you're walking into a temple or church. The leather gives it a nice masculine edge, while the vanilla rounds everything off and keeps it smooth.
What I enjoyed most is how well everything is blended. Nothing sticks out too much, and the scent feels quite polished overall.
I've seen some comparisons to Layton-style fragrances, but to my nose, it doesn't have that green apple sourness that people often mention with Layton. Instead, I get something that comes across almost like a blueberry accord, which makes it feel darker, richer, and a bit more masculine.
The dry down is fantastic. The incense settles down and mixes beautifully with the vanilla and leather. That's probably my favourite part of the fragrance.
This one caught me completely off guard.
The simplest description I can give is that it feels like a fresher version of Hawas Black.
If you've smelled Hawas Black, you'll immediately understand the vibe as both of them are inspired by Nishane Hacivat. It has that same modern, mass-appealing DNA, but everything feels a bit cleaner and brighter. The iris is there, but it doesn't dominate the fragrance or make it overly powdery.
This is the easier fragrance to wear out of the two. It's the kind of scent you can throw on for college, office, casual outings, movies, or pretty much anywhere without thinking twice.
I've also gotten more compliments with this one than Black Diamond so far.
If I had to keep only one, it'd honestly be difficult.
Black Diamond Incense is the more interesting fragrance. The incense-leather-vanilla combination feels unique, and that blueberry-like nuance gives it a character that I don't find in many fragrances around this price.
Cullinan Diamond Iris is the safer buy. It's versatile, easy to like, and if you're a fan of Hawas Black, there's a very good chance you'll enjoy this too.
For a brand that barely gets discussed here, IBRAQ has genuinely impressed me. Both fragrances feel well-made and offer solid value for money.
Anyone else tried IBRAQ? Would love to hear your thoughts on the rest of their lineup.
