what i think anai's classmates' casual clothes would be ~☆

akemi: i knew she had to be SUPER cute. going based off of that image of her in casual clothes, she's got that kind of feminine, shoujo protagonist look to her, but obviously in her own akemi way, with lots of things that i feel suit her. polka dots, some lace and frills, and beiges and browns throughout the outfits. alongside other colors, of course !

kouji: really love that he canonically wears cardigans (or, well, cardigan vests). i gave him a lot of lighter colors, and tried for a generally polite, soft sort of vibe. he's a little dressy but not too dressy, and i don't think he ended up standing out too much, which is what i was hoping for. he specifically got black shoes for that pop of color, and since he carries so much with him.

daisuke: he has... i think two casual outfits? so i was mostly trying to build off of those. while idk if i did the best at that, i still think it's super daisuke-ish. i was kind of trying for a skater boy feel, so he has affliction-style maximalist t-shirts, layered over long sleeved shirts, big jeans and dark, desaturated colors. very daisuke to me. even managed to find one with a kitty <333

kazue: i really love kaz, so it was hard to be unbiased,, i tried my best. he doesn't have casual fits, so i tried to make him and daisuke similar, but still different. while dai is more skater, kazue is more... rock music? he has a bit more jewelry, almost exclusively uses shades of black/grey, and ended up with a different vibe. i think i like it?

minoru: a bit lazy on my end. i like to think the triangle on his sweater in kouji's intro post is a fan graphic, so that was my excuse to go full otaku. he's canonically mentioned naruto and one piece before, so i those would be safest. outside of that, i mostly feel like he'd just want to be comfortable, so track pants and simple, soft shirts.

polly: i think she actively dresses to be taken seriously, but it still isn't her main priority. by that logic, her outfits would have visible effort, but still be simple. i wanted her to be neat but not swotty, and very practical. she gets a lot of basic pieces in various colors that she can put together in a way that works. generally. i also think she'd prefer running shoes to dress shoes.

isamu: i think in theory he dresses to be taken seriously too, because of how he seems to want to live up to polly's expectations. in this case, though, he's not exactly going above and beyond with it. generally, his outfits are pretty simple, most of his focus isn't on his wardrobe and it shows. similar to polly, his wardrobe is mostly just basic pieces combined into outfits.

naoya: he also got a casual outfit in kouji's birthday post, so i tried to lift what i could from that. i think he wears a decent amount of black and puts some effort into his outfits. there's some vague heartthrob energy in there, which makes sense. he got white shoes specifically because i wanted him to contrast kouji, since they're comrades.

misako: it hurt my soul to look for gyaru fashion on pinterest, but since misako's a new gen gal, not a classic gal, i felt she'd realistically dress differently than the gyarus in classic magazines. she ended up with a lottt of pink, which i think works for her. i didn't focus on keeping her in any one substyle for this one, so it might not be as good as it could be.

sayomi: no, i didn't make hers with my ass. sayomi's a uniquer sort of gyaru, since she tends towards darker colors in a way that isn't very goshikku or rokku. i wasn't able to find any outfits worn by actual gyarus that were similar, so most of the people in the pictures aren't gals. lots of black and purple, and a surprising amount of polka dots. i think the outfits feel much more gyaru-ish if you picture sayomi in them.

junka: she's still sporty, but she seems to be more feminine than a tropey sports girl? i've noticed most csg girls are feminine, actually. i still wanted her to dress like a good girl, so i tried juggling all three. it didn't turn out half bad! one thing i love is that michiko got mostly warmer colors while junka's were cooler, even if you'd expect the opposite based on their personalities <3

and that's all of them!! i'm hoping i didn't drop the ball on this one, ehehe.

what i think sarina's classmates' casual clothes would be ~☆

technically pt 2 of the hokusei one! i really love how these ones turned out ><

chiya: she's cute, but you also get the feeling she's never considered disobeying her parents... since her socks and silhouette were both green i wanted to strongarm some green in there. she might be a little basic, but she's still a very sweet girl.

emma: i wanted to be funny and dress her in french girly, because she is one, but it didn't suit her. so. since one of the things we know about her is that she's a ballerina, there's some balletcore wooo!! and some more pieces i think give rich good girl. yes i know balletcore isn't accurate to actual ballet wear, let's just say she has an image to keep up. and just like with chiya, i wanted to strongarm some green in there for her clips and eyes.

nayu: navy. comfort. baggy. things i think could pass as astro sonata merch. plus some cute sneakers! i don't really have a lot to say, the process was straightforward and i love how hers came out <33

yuzuki: she would be so cute in pastels, but her headband and silhouette were both red, so i knew that realistically had to be the main focus. i still forced some mint in there. she's also a bit more frilly/ruffly because she has a nice heart (willing to forgive chisei) and i wanted to show that.

jihye: i had a vision that i sort of struggled to get across. my thoughts were that she'd be serious but not boring, vaguely corporate but still teen girl-ish, and have some orange for her silhouette. i definitely could've fit some more orange in but it was pretty hard,, still, i think it works.

shoko: woahhh big surprise, bet you never saw that one coming (sarcasm). in all seriousness working with shoko has always been just a touch too close to rpf territory for me. still, hers came out as a coherent look, so a win's a win.

.....sorry the "tomorrow" this was supposed to be out by was actually three days ago. i kept forgetting lolzies.

what i think yaeko's classmates' casual clothes would be ~☆

i posted older versions of these to the csg discord server a while ago, and figured i might share the newer ones here, too :D

eko: i think she'd wear somewhat darker colors, since she chose the darker uniform. also like to imagine her being feminine in an offbeat way, not quite "normal." i also tried for some minor manic pixie vibes. i really love the stockings <3

hiro: it would be cute if his love of aliens showed up in his wardrobe. i don't think he'd be especially fashionable, or fashionable at all, mostly valuing comfort and durability. his outfits are rarely put together, but that's ok.

michiko: colorful and kind of plain. i don't think she'd like shopping that much, and mostly gets by in her hand-me-downs from junka and whatever old clothes she has that still fit. i think she's still trying to figure out her own taste, but isn't quite there yet, since she's, yk, 14.

sui: pink... so much pink. i don't think her closet's all pink, but there's a lot of it. i tried to source most of these from lolita magazines on the internet archives to be more authentic. realistically she probably has some casual clothes in there... somewhere.

teruya has two because i think there'd be a disconnect between how they currently dress and how they want to dress (also favoritism). the current one has a more androgynous feel, with comfy and gloomy vibes. the second one is probably after they start shopping with sui. still gloomy, but much more feminine. mostly black and navy bc dark uniform again, hehe.

jo: still dresses like an american middle/high schooler. i took a lot of inspiration from people i actually go to school with. i don't have a lot to say for him, but i wanted to use brighter colors since his headphones are so bright. idk if i did a good job though.

giichi: like hiro, i don't think he really cares about fashion. i wanted it to be a little ambiguous as to whether or not his mother still shops for him. i think he'd dress in a lot of typical nerdwear, but a little more comfortable. he's cocky enough that it doesn't make him seem like a loser (also! if his face looks weird, it's bc the only photo of him i could find was really low res so i tried drawing over it to make it look better... never again).

i have versions of these for sarina & anai's classmates, too. i'll upload them tomorrow if i don't forget ~☆
