How do I disable Cachy Update in System Tray?

A while ago I enabled Cachy Update from Cachy Hello when I stopped using Octopi. But now I want to use Shelly. I don't want two system tray items or notifications for updates. If I go into Cachy Hello and toggle off Cachy Update, it goes away... until I reboot. What is the proper way to disable it again?

I installed KDE as a secondary DE, but what is the correct way to remove GNOME?

I think I installed KDE right? Maybe there is an application package I'm missing.

To install KDE, I just did sudo pacman -Syu plasma and it asked for some dependencies and I said yes. Should there be other things to install? I feel maybe I'm missing apps.

I tried to do sudo pacman -R gnome and it complained about dependencies around apps and Mutter. I want to make sure I do it correctly and am having some trouble locating the correct info.

Do I need to change my logon to SDDM or something as well?

Can I modify the authentication prompt style?

I have been primarily a GNOME user for a while now, but am interested in potentially moving back to KDE after a bit of friction in GNOME with a few things.

I have been a fan of a lot of GNOME style and am trying to work on a spare machine to see about theming in a way I like. One thing that drives me a little nuts if the KDE default authentication prompt for my password. I prefer the very minimalist and elegant look of GNOME's. When I use something like Shelly (I think it is GTK?) the authentication prompt looks great. I am wondering if I can make that the default or find a way to theme the current one to make it closer.

I use GNOME primarily, but installed KDE Plasma alongside it. I decided I didn't want to keep Plasma and removed it. I had ran the backup of the config folder as advised on the Cachy Wiki, but since doing this I am having trouble getting certain apps to maintain dark mode. Both Shelly and Cachy Hello for instance are stuck in light mode. I got Shelly to toggle to dark by having it open and then swapping the appearance from light and back to dark... but then it didn't stick.

I had copied back the backup of the config folder, but that didn't reset anything. I'm sure I'm just being dumb and missing something obvious. Anyone have any ideas? If you need any more info I am happy to provide it.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just figured it out from the GTK3/4 settings in my /etc/skel.
