Hey!! Incoming freshmen— is there any way to see our AP scores ahead of time in our portals? I’ve seen some people on tiktok do that for their own schools but none for GW. Thanks guys!!

Didn’t know to report outside scholarships

Hi! So, I recently won a small one-time scholarship from my town in the amount of $2,500. I was blissfully unaware that I needed to report this. Will I be in any sort of trouble if I haven’t reported this, and will it affect my aid? It’s not a tuition-only scholarship, it’s actually just a check that’s mailed to me and I planned on using it for books and supplies. My cost of attendance is low, less than 10k a year with my cost per semester with federal loans being around as much as half of the scholarship. Any guidance is appreciated, thanks!

So many questions about orientation!

Hi! I’m attending GWU first year orientation on July 13th and I’ve registered around a few weeks ago. My questions are as followed: I haven’t received an email prompt to register for early arrival and I cannot find any link online, does that mean it is unavailable? Also, I will be traveling alone, and the way the train schedules work make it the most convenient if I am able to leave 1.5-2 hours early. Is it possible to leave early without being penalized? Perhaps it could be approved? If not, would they allow me to stay an extra night?

Thank you for any insight!

Hi! I am an upcoming freshman at GWU for fall 2026. In reviewing the university health insurance, I realized that my home insurance (MassHealth) does not meet the university requirements and I must purchase the schools own health insurance plan. However, I am low income, and this would pose a financial strain on my already tight budget. In looking online, they only offer financial assistance with this for graduate students. Is this already factored into cost of attendance, or is it a separate charge? If it is a separate charge, what can I do to avoid having to pay the 3.2k/yr while still getting coverage? Thank you for any help!
