Some people are just really mean...

Today I (22M) hit my first $1,000 in savings, and I can't stop looking at it!!

For a long time, having a negative balance in my bank account was just normal. I'd be counting down the days until payday, hoping my card wouldn't get declined and that nothing unexpected would come up.😭

A few months ago, I got a new job paying me a bit more than minimum wage and decided I was tired of living that way. I've been putting a portion of my paycheck to my saving account and today I checked my accounts and saw $1,001 in savings and about $236 in checking for groceries, gas, and bills. It might not sound like much, but it's the first time in my life I've had over $1,000 set aside while still having money left in checking!! For the first time in a long time, I feel like I can breathe a little.
