All cushioned sneakers with ”maximum support” hurt my arch so much

Hi! Anyone else? What sneakers do you use?

I do not run, but I walk A LOT and do bodycombat lessons (=jumping). My left arch is very sensitive to any cushion under it that ”lifts” the arch. I wonder why.

I have tried lately Hoka’s Clifton 10, but when I wear them for bodycombat or festivals where I walk a lot, I have to put all my weight onto my outer foot, because the arch hurts too much —> I develop a plantar faschia irritation —> can not walk on my left foot —> right foor achilles hurts because I need to lean on that instead.

Also too flat sneakers, like Converse, ARKK or Boss hurt my arch.

Nikes have so far been the only ones that don’t kill me.

I ordered now Salomon Aero Glide 4 in the hopes that it would be a good festival shoe.

Nociplastic pain – Has anyone been able to stop Amitriptyline without the pain coming back?

I suffer from nociplastic bladder pain. I started Amitriptyline 50 mg 2 years ago. Doctors keep telling me that once the pain signals are gone long enough, the pain should be away for good and then one can taper off Amitriptyline. Amitriptyline has been a successful medication for me and I would like to keep it. I have been able to reduce to 35 mg, but at 30 mg the pain came back. Now a pain clinic said that I can be on this dose for over the summer and then we reassess. I’m just deadly afraid they will take it away from me. And the bladder pain was so bad that I almost killed myself because of it.

Had anyone been able to ”cure” nociplastic pain with Amitriptyline and taper off successfully?

Hi.

I would like to hear experiences from people who have experienced a pain flare during tapering, that eventually subsided.

I take Amitriptyline for chronic bladder pain. I took 50 mg for a year, and 40 mg for another year. I'm trying now 35 mg out of curiosity to see if I can tolerate a lower dose, I have been fully flare free for one year. It's been 3 weeks and now a mild version of the pain has returned. Thinking of trying to stick it out.
