Thoughts? Should I dig here?

Thoughts? Should I dig here?

Glass seems very broken up so im not sure if i should spend my time digging.

Whole area runs about 500 yards wide, 200 yards tall. It seems the pile might be 2-5 feet deep indicated by some deep groves of erosion made by water.

I will add only half of this trash pile is legally accessible, other half is on private land but not marked by a fence. Im planning on attempting on contacting the owners for permission to access and possibly dig.

Im pretty excited to get to it tho

My haul from 2 days of digging

Found a good trash heap in globe arizona. Lots and lots of digging to maybe get lucky and find a complete bottle. Im loving it tho.

Best find is second pic in my opinion, supposedly its a harder one to find.

Also anyone know what the blue opal color dish is?

Looking for source of a mineral

I've been walking the creeks in and around globe arizona, been find what is turquoise or chrysocolla. Im kind of at a loss to finding the source of the specimens as ive kept going upstream but still not finding a significant increase in specimens. Does anyone have advice for the best way to locate a mineral source?

Picture below is the mineral and the rough spots ive found the specimens

Thanks!

Advice, tips, and locations for rockhounding in arizona?

Im currently in globe arizona and will be here for a few months for work. Ive been walking the creeks in town looking for anything cool. Ive found some turquoise and other interesting rocks.

Does anyone have any places I should go for rockhounding? I have a subaru outback, so minor off roading is a option for me.

Thanks very much!
