Missing orientation for MUSIC 1020 (online)
Has anyone taken this class (Intro to Music Listening w/ Tam) before and also missed the orientation? Asking because I've already emailed my professor explaining my situation and she sent me an AI template email back and clearly did not read my email. Just wanted to see if anyone has had this happen before while I wait for her email back (and also shout to the void a little). I would be missing the orientation (only) since I only found out about it on Saturday (and it's on Tuesday at 1pm), and happen to have an important appointment scheduled for the same time (which I already tried and failed to reschedule).
I'm so sick of these stupid online classes being listed as "asynchronous" but failing to mention important things like this on Workday. Like this is an ONLINE SUMMER class for MUSIC LISTENING!!!! Why do so many of these professors have ZERO respect for student's time? The entitlement some of them have just blows my fucking mind.
I'm honestly considering dropping, but then I'll have to find another online 3-credit humanities course that doesn't sound insufferable, and I should probably do that sooner rather than later.
Update: Decided to cut my losses and swapped for MUSIC 3040, lets gooo
