I made really stable and reliable 3d printed rocket
Hi everyone i wanted to share that i designed a very stable 3d printed rocket, that i launched 6 times.
2 times - klima A class motor (~20m high)
3 times - klima B class motor (~80m high)
1 time - klima C class motor (~230m high)
All three categories flew stable and steady up straight, parashute charges set off almost at the apogee which i was really surprised to see on all three categories.
The only thing that i missed was parachute it self. I made very bad diy parachute that did not unfold correctly all launches. Despite that rocket actually landed on grass without taking any structural damage and was launched over and over again. It still stands as a reusable rocket in my cupboard.
It’s printed from generic PLA nothing fancy. It hold up very well. After launch and landing end cap feels soft but not melted few seconds and its solid again.
