Are digestion walks THAT good? (Need your opinions!)

Okay this might sound kinda crazy, and I’ve never heard anyone talk about this but I’ve been learning about Ray Peat and I randomly started thinking about the whole “walking after eating” thing.

Everywhere you look now, people say you should walk for 10–15 minutes after eating because it helps digestion, lowers blood sugar and improves insulin sensitivity.

But I started wondering if that actually makes SENSE from a Ray Peat point of view.

Obviously Ray never literally said “don’t walk after eating,” so I’m not saying this is something he believed. I’m just trying to apply some of the things he talked about.

Like, digestion itself takes a lot of energy. After you eat, your body has to digest and absorb everything, your organs are working, your heart is circulating blood, etc. So if you’re just sitting there relaxed, wouldn’t that give your body the easiest environment to actually focus on all of that?

I know the body can digest food AND walk at the same time lol, but I keep seeing explanations saying that when you start moving, more blood and energy are being used by your muscles. So I was wondering if that could slightly interfere with what your body is already trying to do after a meal.

And honestly, the biggest reason I started thinking about this is because I’ve literally never naturally/ intuitively wanted to move after eating.
Even when I was “little” and very slim, addicted to sugar btw, I would eat and then just sit down and chill. I never had this instinct to go on a digestion walk, until TikTok emphasized it.

And I think there’s also a difference between going for a walk because you genuinely enjoy it and forcing yourself to walk because you’re scared you’re “supposed to” after eating, which I think a lot of people do.

Even animals basically eat and then rest.

Again, I’m NOT saying walking after eating is bad. I understand why people recommend it, especially for blood sugar. I’m just wondering if from a Peat perspective, keeping yourself relaxed and allowing your body to digest without adding unnecessary stress might sometimes make more sense?

Especially because Ray was so focused on energy availability, glucose and minimizing unnecessary stress on the body.

I’ve only recently started actually
reading his articles instead of just watching random “Ray Peat diet” TikToks, so I’m genuinely trying to understand this rather than acting like I know everything

What do you guys think? Am I completely misunderstanding the physiology here, or does the idea of just relaxing after a meal make sense from a Ray Peat perspective? Please tell me your opinion, im so curious about this!😁

Glow up from subliminal / manifestation

I started listening to subliminal in 2025!I listened to them religiously on the way to school and at night for like a month and stopped and have been going on and off. Nowadays I barely listen to them anymore but sometimes still do. I do a lot of manifesting and use affirmations which also cleared my skin and everything. Idk what else to say ask what you want.

Edit: My nose has also shrunken which is probably my most favourite part lol:3

V1PERs subliminals - My review

So like three - four days ago I downloaded a few of V1Pers subliminals onto Offline (an App) and just listened to them while working out, watching anime and stuff like that. I listened roughly 30-60mins a day and I have about 20 of her subliminals in my playlist. (When I listen to subliminals, I don’t over complicate it with amount or time)

So yesterday, I had my FIRST lucid dream EVER. I know I was lucid and I was also able to control it which was sooo cool, I thought about it the entire day but I also wondered “Did I listen to a subliminal for lucid dreaming?” - and to my surprise, I did, from V1PER. (And no, I don’t remember every subliminal I put in the playlist).

Another one, is that I’ve been struggling with insane upper back pain and neck pain recently, and yes I’ve gotten multiple massages + stretching and it literally hurt so bad I started listening to her “massage” and “lymphatic drainage” subliminal and once again, I didn’t consciously notice these btw but my pain is literally gone, holy shit im realising as im typing, the pain is GONE. My lymph nodes aren’t swollen anymore :O (Wtfeck lol this is insane hahah I only wanted to talk about the lucid dreaming but yea )

So, I can definitely give a BIG THUMBS UP for V1PER. I saw her on this feed, so if you see this, i love your subliminals. Probably the only creator I’ll ever use for now.
