The kraken is a beast foreign in concept to just about nobody, as all have heard tales of the wooden boats of old being snapped by such powerful creatures. But in the 1970s, a steel destroyer forged by the most powerful navy to sail the world's waters would be under attack not by the soviets, the Chinese, or not by any human force for that matter.
