Looking for advice on ongoing condo noise issues

I am a condo owner in Alberta and I’m hoping to get advice from others who have experienced similar situations.

I understand that condo living means sharing walls and that some noise is normal. I am not expecting complete silence, but I have been dealing with ongoing noise issues, especially music and low-frequency bass that travels through the building.

A previous downstairs neighbour had repeated noise problems. I contacted management several times, but after a while, my complaints seemed to stop getting much response. During one particularly loud party, I contacted the police non-emergency line, and an officer attended and left a notice. However, when I contacted non-emergency again later, another officer told me that noise issues should be handled through condo management. Management told me that if it happened again, I should contact the police.

Now I am experiencing similar issues again with a new neighbour. I am not sure whether they are an owner or a tenant. There is frequent patio music and indoor music that can be clearly heard in my unit. The difficult part is that it usually does not reach the city’s official dB limits, but because of the thin drywall and poor sound insulation, bass and vibrations travel easily through the building. Sometimes it feels like the sound is coming from inside my own home.

I know I may be sensitive to noise than some people, and I understand that everyone has the right to enjoy their home. I also make an effort to be a considerate neighbour and keep my own noise to a minimum. However, I feel frustrated because management does not seem very proactive, especially with daytime noise issues.

The stress has started affecting my daily life. Even when it is quiet, I find myself worrying about when the noise will start again.

Has anyone dealt with a similar situation in a condo? What steps helped when management was not very responsive?

Thank you for reading. I would be grateful for any advice or experiences you can share.

Thinking About Quitting — What Happens to Your Castle After Account Deletion?

I’ve been feeling pretty burned out lately. I wanted this game to be fun, but instead it’s become a game where you spend a lot of money just to feel stressed and exhausted. I’d already been thinking about quitting for a while, but what finally pushed me over the edge was getting a response from support after reporting a player’s behaviour, saying it “wasn’t considered a problem.” If that kind of behaviour is acceptable, then I think I’m done.

I met both really good people and really unpleasant people in and outside my guild, so it’s honestly disappointing that poor management/moderation ended up being the reason I decided to quit.

So I have one question: if I delete my account, what happens to my castle? Does it stay on the map forever? I understand it might eventually become a target for looting, but ideally I’d like to completely erase my presence from the game and leave things cleanly behind.

Thanks to everyone here who’s answered my questions before, and thanks in advance to anyone who replies to this one too.

It looks like my server is about to finish S1 and enter the cooldown period before S2. What usually happens during this between-season period?

Also, are new heroes (like Wukong or Alpaca) typically released during this time? It’s a bit hard to tell from the schedule, so I’d really appreciate any insights from players on earlier servers.

Thanks in advance!
