Recall advice?
This is my (m) 1 year old whippet called Vinny. Recently his recall has been declining, especially when he sees other dogs. We have now resulted in keeping him on a long line. We have been working on it, with night value treats but when on walks once he sees another dog he locks in and I cannot get his attention. Does anyone have any training tips/advice? I am trying to reward him for looking at me when other dogs are around but it’s difficult to even get that from him. I just want to give him a good life off lead, but don’t want him running off and being unsafe!!
