1 week post op!
hi! i’m 22f and i just had my left hip replaced a week ago. i had AVN and for about 10 years i had basically a square left hip. during that time my left leg was around an inch shorter than the right. this affected the way i would walk and stand (not noticeably, but i just adapted to a short leg). i waited so long to get it replaced because it never really bothered me, just walking long distances or uphill was bad. now 1 week post op i feel like im learning to walk again. i have been so used to a short leg, the surgical leg now feels too long and i cant seem to stand up perfectly straight or walk without leaning forward. i’m wondering if anyone had a similar issue/has found ways to fix it. i know most people feel like the surgical leg is too long for a while but i dont want to start getting used to walking with a forward lean. i hope this makes sense! anything advice helps!<3
