How many characters did Columbo's investigations inadvertently kill?
Columbo often says or does something that compels the murderer to kill a secondary victim. And in doing so, they trip up and leave the evidence needed for Columbo to solve the first murder. I can think of three without trying hard (Eddie Caine in Publish or Perish, Tracy in Suitable for Framing, the projector guy who was in Far Out Space Nuts in Double Exposure. Others? Does this make Columbo a little reckless?
