How do you cover and store your Searwood when not in use? Any dos and donts?

Obviously its always good to cover your grill, but I feel like with traditional charcoal abd propane grills, which dont have electronics, you can kind of get by leaving them uncovered for the warm seasons. Heck I think my mom left our Weber grill uncovered all year lol.

Should I cover my Searwood when not in use?

Do you move it someplace safer if youre getting a lot of rain coming? And how important is it to not let rain hit it at all with the electrical components (not sure if they are designed to be more protected)?

Can you leave it plugged in between cooks or do you unplug it every time?

My grill is gonna be on the outside portion of my deck with the power cord running along a step down, tucked away. Probably 15 feet from outlet to grill. Live in the northeast so ill keep it covered for the winter, but hoping to maybe do Christmas Prime Rib on it.

Ace Hardware offering nice deal for Searwood (for those waiting for a sale)

Part posting this to help others but also to make sure I have this right.

Ace hardware offering a deal for 3x points on Weber Grills over $399. Every $1 spent is 10 points, and every 2500 points gets you a $5 reward. Been a while since 2nd grade math but I think that would mean the searwood ($1,000) would get 30,000 points which equates to 12 $5 rewards or $60 in rewards. The XL grill would be more like $80 back in rewards.

Normally Weber is one of those "excluded" brands but I think because this dral is specifically for Weber Grills, it should include the Searwood. And seeing as how the most they ever discount these grills is by $100, this is a pretty solid deal. I also checked the terms and there seems to be no limit on type of Weber grills nor a cap on the number of points you can earn.

Tl:Dr - check out Ace stores for 3x the points on the Searwood if youve been waiting for them to go on sale.
