I’m genuinely curious but why are coloured women suddenly everyones type lately?
This is something I’ve genuinely been curious about for a while now. As a coloured woman I’ve noticed that over the last 2-3 years there’s been this sudden rise in men openly talking about wanting coloured girlfriends/wives especially online. I’ve noticed it mostly from black men but also from white men too. What confuses me is that it feels like such a switchup because growing up coloured women were either overlooked or constantly stereotyped negatively. The same things people used to make fun of us for being crazy, loud, toxic, intense etc are now suddenly the reasons people say they want to date coloured women.
So now I’m wondering what changed?
Is it social media? Is it because more coloured women are open to interracial dating now? Is it because people started seeing coloured women differently?
I’m not saying this in a hateful way at all btw. I actually love seeing more interracial relationships now because in a lot of coloured communities it used to be frowned upon to date outside your race, especially by older generations and now it feels way more accepted.I’m just curious if other people have noticed this shift too because it definitely feels different from a few years ago.
