Hi, due to budget concerns, I am considering to stay around journal square and commute to work in Williamsburg. The commute will be 5 stops on the PATH and then another 4 stops on the L train. I will be able to avoid all the commuting peak hours and Google Maps estimate the journey to be about 50 minutes which doesn't seem too bad. I was told that the commute would be brutal. Any advice/feedback would be appreciated.
Hi, I'm relocating to NY for work in mid-August. My office will be in Williamsburg, and I'll be commuting there five days a week. I'm currently apartment hunting with a budget under $2,500, and I'd love to find a place with an in-building gym and an in-unit washer/dryer. I've been considering 425 Summit in Jersey City — the commute to work would involve taking the PATH five stops to 14th St, then transferring to the L train for four stops to Bedford Ave. Does that commute seem reasonable, or would I be better off looking at other options? If so, what specific neighbourhoods could I be looking at with my budget? Thank you!
