AMC Ford City is one of only two traditional movie theatres on Chicago's Southside. It is one of the few movie theatres in Chicago with ample, free parking that has also been updated with recliner seats.

So far the closure of Ford City's North Mall does not include AMC Ford City, but a month ago when the future of the mall was being discussed AMC Ford City suspended all it's screenings in anticipation of action from the city.
