My version of 繁體字
My tutor and coworkers told me that my handwriting is not bad 😂😂😂. I was very surprised! I try to handwrite a lot to memorize the characters.

I recently visited Sanga Incense in Kyoto, and felt in love with this censer that they had at the shop (and their incense selection is amazing). I asked the rep and she could not tell me where this can be purchased in Kyoto. Any good soul here has a lead on this? ☺️☺️ Highly appreciated for any website/place to purchase in the U.S 🥹🥹.

I recently traveled to Taiwan for my vacation, and decided to join a local calligraphy class during my last days. To my surprise, my only regret is that I did not start it sooner 🥹🥹.
I am a non-Mandarin speaker, and I don’t know how to write 漢字 very well (only know like 10 words). I spent a few years learning Chinese musical instruments and my teacher encouraged me to start learning Chinese calligraphy (書法) to help with getting flow, stop getting impulsive and regulate breathing. However, I never started because I thought I need to know 漢字 well before I attempted calligraphy! To my surprise, it’s not a requirement to know 漢字, and the Taiwanese master guided my through strokes during my first sessions. He introduced me to a local book that can help me to further study at home, and encouraged me to find a teacher and continue to study when I go back home.
I find this to be a very mindfulness and intensive activities that totally locked me in the “flow” mode. I wish I have started it sooner! But it’s never too late! To many more years of calligraphy study 🥰🥰.
Two examples of the words I have been practicing is below, and then the book that the teacher recommended, which can be found at Hui Feng Tang near Taiwan Normal University!
