PSA SCAMMER OFFERING RESEARCH ASSISTANCE JOB

I unfortunately recently fell victim to a scammer pretending to be a proffesor from UC Davis. He offered me 400 a week for about 10 hours of work, how could I say no? The interview process was pretty legit and he even had me do a practice assignment to see if I could fulfill what the job needed. He then gave me another assignment as a distraction from his real goal. He sent me a check and told me to send the money to someone on zelle. The check went through and I got the money so I thought, "oh hes trusting me with the money must be legit", so I sent the money. Two days later the check he sent got rescinded and because I had already sent the money through zelle it took my money instead. I realize I have nobody to blame but myself and believe me, I do. I hope my experience can help anyone who gets an email like this. If it sounds to good to be true, it probably is... thus is the world we live in.

I have finished all the mainline game (minus halo 5 cause its not on steam)

Alright I finished all 7 mainline halo games on steam in the span of about three weeks and I wanted to quickly share my opinions on them. For context I played all the games on normal difficulty because I wanted to have my first interaction with the franchise to be "normal".

First, the Bungie vs 343 difference is VERY REAL and the whiplash going from Halo 3 to halo 4 is insane.

Halo CE is a game that feels surreal, it is probably the most unique game of the franchise because of how creepy it can be. This game has mastered environment and the combat is ultra satisfying. (CE shotgun my beloved.) One major critique I have though is that some levels go on for too long and they just KEEP REPEATING, makes me feel like im hallucinating. (cough cough library)

Halo 2 and 3 I feel should be bunched together as from my perspective these feel to similar in gameplay. Story wise both are excellent and the levels at worst are good. If i had to choose my favorite of the two it would be 3 as 2 just falls short in terms of ending. (I understand why that is) Personally in terms of levels I did not like the flood levels and I did not like gravemind.

Halo Reach's story is excellent and the gameplay is amazing. However Reach feels so different from the previous games (which I suppose is good). The level design (in my opinon) does not get good until after jorge dies and that kind of holds it back.

Halo ODST is great, I love the feeling of being a normal human (as normal as an ODST can be) and doing all the stuff. At first I did not like the open worldish layout but it grew on me. The levels however are kind of hit or miss, some are very fun while some are irritating at points.

Halo 4: I knew about the change going in but oh man did I feel it. Halo 4 felt short, I did not care for the story and the gunplay was (in my opinion the worst). It is a fine game but compared to the others of this franchise it falls short. I understand the outrage. To be honest 4 just feels forgettable.

Infinite: I really liked infinite, the gunplay is (in my opinion) the best gunplay all the guns feel so satisfying. I did not like the boss fights but the combination of open world and levels was quite good. This is 343s best work and quite a good halo game. Story and level design wise this still falls short of Bungies work but it is a good attempt. My main gripe with infinite is that it feels unfinished. Much of the map has nothing there and certain things are much to short.

Overall Halo 2/3 have the best story (in my opinion), level design and best overall of all the games.

Infinite has the best combat (however the difference between CE and infinite is so large that it is hard to compare)

CE has the best environmental story telling of every game.

Personally I do not enjoy the flood, I love it as a plot device and its looming presence but it is implemented in way's that are not fun to play against. For example Cortana or the library. On top of that I do not like horror and the flood is by far the scariest thing in the series, thus 343 guilty spark is not fun for me, (though I think its a great level because it scares the shit out of me).

Overall I love this series and its become some of my favorite video games ever, the Halo CE, 2, 3 trilogy is possible the greatest video game story and games I have every played as one complete package.

I would very much like to see what 343 can do for Halo 7 if they continue the trend of getting better with their games (as I believe infinite is their best game yet).
