Excuse the bad quality, they took a while to upload the upfront and then there were no resolution settings, so this is what we have. There was not much said, but I thought I'd post it regardless.
Video is in 2x speed for brevity.
Summary:
She was expected to do her own makeup for every single show, which would be a lot of work on top of playing the actual role. In the past, other performers playing the role of Lola, like Todrick Hall, all had MUAs helping them with the transformation aspect (granted, Onya's tour was non-equity). Over time, she felt as though nobody was listening to her. Onya was being paid $2K a week, which is much less than what she would earn on a regular Drag Race tour in her reigning year, but she was doing it as she has always had an interest in theatre, even before drag. She decided that she'd just go ahead with the show, but 5 days before it was scheduled to start, she was dropped. They dropped her even though she had canceled a tour with Jewels to take on the role and had acquiesced.

Amazon held their annual upfront in NYC yesterday. They briefly mentioned 'Criminal' and described it as a "gritty, character-driven story." Nothing else was revealed.
Sadly, there is no replay as of yet.
