I own a Xerox Altalink C8170 that has suffered from serious quality issues from day one and the time for a replacement is imminent.
I've used Xeroxes for three decades+ and I'm finally done. Now, I don't run a production shop & I make mostly prototypes with one-offs and super short runs, but quality is of utmost importance – color and coverage. I need to be able to push 13"x19" 120lbs/130lbs cover frequently and the occasional 18pt. Kromekote if possible. Longer sheets are useful on occasion, but not absolutely necessary as we run larger formats on inkjet & UV machines.
I'd prefer to purchase a low-mileage, used machine over leasing a brand new one to keep cost at bay, as we don't do high volume. I don't need finishers, or any other automated doodads.
What's on the market that would fit the bill? I hear good things about Konica Minolta and occasionaly Ricoh – which particular model would work for my needs?
Any input appreciated – thank you!
It seems like someone has a real hard-on for my website right now & I have been fighting recurring hacks over and over for the past few weeks. It never ends & I have resurrected the site from backups numerous times. Every single wordpress file seems to be affected. I don't think the database or my user info has been compromised.
My site is running self-managed on AWS Lightsail with Plesk
– I installed Wordfence, and put the entire site behind cloudflare.
– Wordfence firewall is active
– Plesk security measures are activated
– I deleted & re-installed any plugin that's not in the repository
What else can I do to keep these intruders at bay?
thanks!
