93PG update: ~8% efficiency gain in my data (preliminary)

Got the 93PG update on May 5th. Ran a regression analysis of efficiency on temperature, trip type, and a before/after-May 5th (1k trips from the Audi API, historical temperature from Open-Meteo).

Caveat: only ~2 weeks of post-update data so far, so these are preliminary.

Efficiency: 2.30 → 2.48 mi/kWh (+7.9%). The raw before/after was around +10%, but about 2 percentage points of that was just the winter to spring warming. The remaining 8% holds up.

Guess-o-meter at 100% SOC: ~240 mi median before May 5, ~270 mi after, peak of 290 mi. Small pre-update window so call it directional, but the jump is consistent and immediate. Worth noting: I don't drive conservatively, so a lighter foot would push these numbers higher. The constant cold and rainy weather since the start of the year probably doesn’t help, curious about Summer numbers.

ABRP estimates: 128 mi round trip last Friday - 30% urban (~12mph), 70% motorway (~73mph). ABRP predicted I'd arrive home at 31% SOC. Actually arrived at 52%.

93PG update: "high voltage switching" didn’t mean much to me so I looked into it. Using just one half of the battery generates more heat (more current per cell) and prior to the update that happened more often. Switching between half/whole battery also incurs more wear to the relays, so the update should make them last longer.
