How to ID
I'm brand new to ancient coin collecting. I bought my first coin today, and when I got home, I realized IDing it is much harder than I thought it'd be. I know it's a Denarius from Septimius Severus, but I had no idea how many variations there would be while he was the ruler. The obverse says SEVERVS PIV, and then it's hard to read. The reverse is hard to read in general. I looked through several different websites but haven't been able to find an exact match. Are there any sites you recommend? Is this coin too worn to be able to ID? Sorry for the noob questions!
