Realizing more about the Wixen x Katress relationship from the Palpedia
In the Palpedia it states that Wixen and Katress are natural enemies. And then you have Wixen Noct and Katress Ignis, which can only be obtained either from two of their kind OR a Katress bred with a Wixen.
The Wixen Noct entry says:
"Due to its upbringing, it no longer cares about whether its food is cooked enough.
This Pal stopped worrying about those details, and just prefers its food to be as sweet as possible.
Not on good terms with Katress Ignis."
While the Katress Ignis entry says:
"Due to its upbringing, it no longer cares about whether its food is raw enough.
This Pal stopped worrying about those details, and just prefers its food to be as spicy as possible.
Not on good terms with Wixen Noct."
What I believe this implies is that they would regularly eat food from both their parents, and thus accept both - which I find as a cute detail cuz that means that two natural enemies raised the child together. Nonetheless, Katress Ignis and Wixen Noct still don't like each other, but seemingly not to the degree that Katress and Wixen do - maybe because they're technically cousins.
Now if only we had some sort of "Offspring Fantasy" with Anubis and Sekhmet instead of ICE WHALE!
