Hi all,
Lurker here. First time posting. I live in zone 10a and have 2 avocado trees growing on the side of my house. Both from compost pile avocados, so I don’t know the variety. Probably 3-4 yrs old maybe?

As you can see, one is straight up growing through where the fence hits the cement. They are both approximately 8-10 feet tall.

Honestly, I water pretty sparingly just cause they are out of site out of mind and I have 2 kids under 5…

So… they are pretty close together. Do I cut one so the other can thrive? Should I prune? I don’t want a giant avocado tree growing there for a variety of reasons.

I’m just not sure how to proceed. I don’t have anywhere to move or relocate

Help!
