New Diagnosis and Wet Food
My 14 year old cat, Sammy, was diagnosed yesterday as a diabetic, and the vet wants us to switch him to wet food. He hates wet food, and has rejected all previous attempts to get him to do a combination of wet and dry food. He is currently on a hunger strike.
I no longer have any of his kibble, as it went with my mom's best friend. I do wish I had kept some, to help him transition to wet, but the vet was very clear about no dry food.
I want to get him eating normally before his medicine comes in, because I need to see how he's reacting to the bexacat, and it's going to be difficult to judge how that's going if he's also just. Refusing to eat.
Pet parents who have dealt with this before, help?
