Today I learned there was a period of time where cats barely existed on the fossil record. Possible causes range from climate factors to the fact that cats are very big meat-eaters; making them victims of their own success.

[Star Wars] Did anyone flying into or out of Alderaan's territory for trade or travel besides Luke and company see it get blown up or find it was reduced to a bunch of rubble soon after?

One could presume a decently wealthy planet like Alderaan had a fair amount of heavily populated spaceports for trade and whatnot. At least a few ships had to have seen something happen.

An optimistic subreddit that goes against the "Doomer" mindset online

I find the "Doomer" mindset thay so many fall into to be discouraging and nihilistic, and would like to see if there's any subreddit out there that counteracts claims made by "Doomers" and their whole general vibe. The big one out there that's obvious is r/doomercirclejerk, but that one is more of a denial factory and echo chamber as well as being a circlejerk sub, which comes with a whole other host of issues. Any optimistic subs that specifically fight claims made by "Doomers"?
