Left sided pulsatile tinnitus (heartbeat in ear loudly 24/7) severe Ear fullness/pressure and popping, Ear fluttering and vibrations in both ears, Muscle twitching/spasms around outside of both ears on the scalp- feels like popcorn popping on both sides of my head. When I lay on a pillow can feel my scalp twitching against it.

Could this be vestibular migraine?

Brain mri, mra, mrv, ct temporal bone, ear iac mri, mra neck and full spine mri negative

Can TMJ cause all of these scary symptoms?

Tmj started popping on left side 5 mo after ear symptoms.

I have zero TMJ pain

Brain mri, mra, mrv and ct temporal bone all normal

I know it's still early but I'm on day 5 post blood patch and feel zero difference in symptoms just like with my first patch.

Timeline:

Epidural steroid injection L5/S1 July 9, 2025

Developed leak symptoms with 1 week of injection.

Pulsatile tinnitus, severe ear pressure, ear popping, ear drum spasms, head vibrations when upright.

Gaslit for 5 months then had a targeted l5 transforaminal blood patch 10 mls. No change in symptoms.

Now 1 year after symptoms started I had my 2nd patch same as before, 10 mls transforaminal approach and nothing, no type of change at all.

I'm feeling defeated, depressed and scared. I'm thinking I may have a bleb and that is why I have no improvement with patches?!

When you have orthostatic pressure, is it head pressure or ear pressure you're describing?

I have a crazy amount of ear pressure in my left ear and ear popping and hearing my heartbeat upon standing. Just wondering what everyone else feels with their pressure changes.

I haven't received appropriate health care and received delayed treatment and now I'm a year post puncture and still haven't received an accurate blood patch. I had one 5 months post puncture and only 10cc that did nothing. Now I'm almost a year into this and can't be seen until Oct at UChealth but I'm really feeling hopeless that this is my life now and the only way out is not a good option. I'm so scared and depressed. Is there anyone that can give me hope?

Does anyone have any information on these and has anyone had one done? I have this as an option for my iatrogenic leak from a needle puncture but I don't know much about them. Thank you!

Can tmj cause muscle twitching on both sides of head behind the upper ear lobe that feels like popcorn popping under skin? When I lay my head on the pillow it makes the twitching go crazy and I can feel the twitching against my pillow. It's not painful but it's very scary!
