Law Students/Lawyers - Pls say the Raw Truth About This Career to 16[M] before I choose this field

Hello folks,

16[M],lower middle class family with family income around 4L per annum with 5 family members,no lawyer in any distant relation and no connections

Was always interested in law. On research,I came to know that there are mainly 2 fields in law-litigation and corporate(non-litigation).

  • Litigation is representing cases in court.Lil money at start but has lots of potential when going senior.
  • Corporate is working in finance law for big companies. Good salary at the beginning but no wlb and toxic environment.Good potential as well.

I m interested in litigatin but will go with corporate for initial yeaers to pay off the loan and then switch to either litigation or in-house.

,I'll definitely be taking a loan for law college. But my question is,even if I get into top NLU,will I SURELY get a job?

Bcs 25L is a huge amount for me.If I don't get a job,I would be drowning in debt.It is a huge risk.

Another option,I am thinking of is to do BA from local clg and then 3yr LLB from a good NLU.That way I have to pay lesser fees, less debt and can also work part-time if needed. But I have heard that 3 yr LLB is not considered in par with 5 yr LLB.Is that true?

Also, since I have no guidance in this field, pls tell me if law is worth it or not, especially since I'll be taking a huge risk to pursue this field.
