Leg weakness

Its been 6 months and I am highly frustrated now. I had hip replacement due to fracture so I knew recovery would be longer but I use to walk miles daily, hike, do yoga and I feel like I am losing it mentally now. I had pt that caused so much muscle pain and they kept giving me different people every week who didn't pay attention, so I quit in May and started walking in pool and floating. But walking outside was giving me leg spasms and some weakness. I went back to surgeon in July had xrays, he said everything fine and I found better pt in small office and just started working with her when I got a bad rash. Went to urgent care, this was 2 weeks ago, they told me I had shingles, put me on antivirals. It was super super itchy and kept spreading all over. I freaked out because shingles doesn't do that unless your immune system is tanked. Finally made it in to dermatologist yesterday and he said last 2 doctors I saw were wrong I had bad case of poison oak. Ugh! Meanwhile no pt or pool for last two weeks, and now they don't have any appts open for a month and leg getting worse. Probably because I have been going all over house with cane doing tons of laundry and cleaning upholstery to get rid of poison oak. My husband is the one who didn't know he had it until after he sat all over house and cars. The new pt lady is great she said my weakness is because my core is weak and its putting too much pressure on my leg. I have to get back to exercises she have me, I stopped because the rash was on my non operated leg but doing any movement made itch worse. Any advice anyone? Talk me down from my negative thinking? Watching my friend who had regular hip operation month before me hiking all summer is killing me. I miss my life!

Shingles on back and thigh same side

I just found out I had shingles on my back near my shoulder last Thursday. They put me on antiviral and next day my thigh was itching and I noticed it there. Now days later I actually have more rash on my leg than my back. Nothing has opened up at all nor am I having pain thank god but the itch is intense and there is no way to lie down or sit without touching it as it’s in the back side of me.

My question is I thought it was supposed to only be in one place? I plan to call my doctor to see what he says in the morning. I am 70 and I had the vaccine in 2019.

I have been recovering from hip replacement (February) due to a fracture so my immune system is down and my older kitty just died.

My surgeon said because of fracture recovery would take longer, double the time but I think I didn’t want to hear that. I would be different, I was in such good shape before. I am 69 but was doing senior gym class, walking miles a day with my dog, doing yoga, some hikes, etc

Surgeon wanted me to wait till 6 weeks to start pt just walk so I did. At 7 weeks I started pt and after first time where he gave me a lot to do I was in pain muscle pain a lot all week, they moved me to new lady and I did less but still muscle pain, last 3 times new girl doing less and less exercises to rest and I did get a few days of no pain but after every time I do any exercises I am in muscle pain for days and making it hard to do even short walks.

I walk two 10-15 min walks a day now. Today I go to different girl to assess how I am doing. I feel like I have been in muscle pain (butt and thighs mostly) all month with little progress. Going to tell girl this and wondering if I should quit pt. I went in therapy pool for first time Tuesday just walked and floated with noodle and did some side walking exercise pt gave me. Felt great in pool but I was yet again very sore yesterday, a bit better today and dreading pt know what comes after it.

I had posterior approach and with the fracture surgeon says why my butt muscles hurt, so sitting is hard. So most of my day is sitting as long as I can handle it, walking around house, going for walks, doing errands and if I am too sore laying down with pillow.

My mental health is deteriorating this month, I shouldn’t have had expectations but I did. I am normally a half full person but fighting not to be depressed and frustrated.
