I hadn’t rode a bike since a child. This past month I picked up a couple bikes, one being a 2022 model Salsa Journeyer Apex. I had taken it to a local bike shop for some upgrades and got it back this week (Thanks to Taylor Bike Company!). I had added some new handlebar tape, pedals, a bottle cage, and some new tires. I have been loving my evening rides with said upgrades! Considering some more upgrades in the future, one being upgrading brakes from the current disc brakes and new saddle. I’m planning on joining some local gravel group rides to gain more confidence. I’m also hoping to sign up for some gravel races in the future. Does anyone have any gravel races in Texas, preferably central, that are a must for me to try? Thanks!
