The Pyramids of Giza

AS the only real remaining one of the original '7 Wonders of the World',the Pyramids were granted honorary membership.

So the 'New 7 Wonders' were actually 8.But only 7 were voted in.

Anyway,if you have been to the Giza Pyramids (which are of course not the only pyramids that exist)....do you think they deserve this honorary role? Are they so impressive and ancient that they must be included?

Post your opinion, your experience there and if you like,a photo or two!

TIMBUKTU

Getting to the end of the nominations now...this one is a whole city, with a population of around 100,000 people. An exotic, mysterious place, once renowned as the richest city in the world, lately little visited due to the situation in Mali.

Anyone who has visited Timbuktu, please post your impressions here.Does it deserve a place on the shortlist,or indeed on the actual '7 Wonders of the World'?

SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE

The only opera house on the shortlist, and the most modern of the 21 contenders..one of only 2 built in the 20th century.

Anyone who has been to the Opera House (or even just seen it from outside),do you think it merits its position as a potential 'Wonder of the World '? Should it get into the Top 7? Why/not?
